Currently {link-up}

Wondering what we've been up to lately?  Well, you're in luck because it's time to tell you what we've currently been up to here in the Duggan household!
The prompts are {eating, drinking, listening, reading, thinking}

PRESLEY is currently:

Eating... spinach!  Okay, well not literally at this moment eating it... but lately, that is something she really seems to enjoy!

Drinking... water and breastmilk, only!  Some people might think that's boring for her - but she doesn't complain.  :)

Reading... She's been loving this Snow White book I picked up on clearance (for 10 cents!) a few weeks ago.  She loves flipping it open and shut and looking at the pictures.  It's also one of the only books she'll sit still for these days.  Disney Princess in the making?

TONY is currently:

Eating... Leftovers!  I made a huge batch of Baked Ziti (I add spicy sausage to this recipe) so he's been taking that for lunch this week.  It is so delicious.

Drinking... Coffee - every morning - with peppermint mocha creamer!  Though, he just ran out and I've been contemplating making it to save some money... this is the recipe I am going to use, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Listening... Bruno Mars new album "Unorthodox Jukebox" much to my urging.  Seriously guys, if you like this kinda music, CHECK IT OUT.

Reading... ESPN magazine.  I got him a subscription for Christmas and so far it seems like it's been a gift he's liked.

I am currently:

Eating...  the leftover Baked Ziti!  It's hard to resist.

Drinking... sweet tea - my absolute weakness!

Listening... the Grey's Anatomy Volume 4 Soundtrack.  Since the very beginning they've had such great music.  I can hardly believe season NINE is almost over.
Specifically LOVING "Worried About" by Lissie - check her out! She's from Rock Island, IL - also known as the "Quad Cities" which is the area we currently live.  It's pretty spectacular how amazing she is and the great things she's doing.

Reading... "True Believer" - it's a Nicholas Sparks book I've attempted to read over and over again over the past few years but I haven't made it passed the first 30-or-so pages.  I am determined to read it this time around but it starts off SO SLOW.  I'm reading this after his book "Safe Haven" which only took me a few days to read and I couldn't put it down!  Talk about night and day.  Do any of you guys read Nicholas Sparks books?

Thinking... of reading "The Vow" next.  I had no idea how happy reading again would make me!  So thankful Tony suggested it... no idea why I stopped in the first place.  I set the goal for a book a month and it's shaping up to be more like a book a week!  I really enjoy doing something solely for myself and to relax.

Congratulations if you made it to the bottom of this... I'm sure this wasn't the most enthralling post, but I sure enjoyed writing it.

That's all, folks!

  1. I'm currently drinking wine, as in at this moment. ;)

    And this was fun! I'm definitely going to have to try spinach for Natalie. (Yes, she's 15 months and I haven't tried it yet. She's a picky eater and I assumed she just wouldn't like it.) And good luck with the coffee creamer! Let us know how it goes. :)

    1. YUM. What kind? I like all the sweeter wines and that just sounds good right about now.

      This was Presley's first time having spinach by itself (she'd had it in commercial baby food before mixed with fruits & such) and she acted like she'd had it a ton before! Hope Natalie likes it just as much!

  2. I just went back and as I have been working on this or that project around the house I have been watching early seasons of Grey's and it is hard to believe how young they all look!

    I definitely agree as well that the music in the old seasons is awesome!
